High mountains in Herzegovina region are ideal for ski touring as they are covered with plenty of snow in winter. This tour starts on Ruiste at 1000 masl from where it leads us pretty soon in to the higher grounds between 1400 and 2000 masl suitable for ski touring. After we check in in to Mountain Hut (1450 masl) to leave the surplus equipment we continue to our ski tour around the beautiful mountain. In the evening we return to the Mountain Hut for the overnight stay. Next morning we engage on our tour through central part of Prenj (800 ascent) and return to the Mountain Hut on another route later in the afternoon. We head back to Ruiste for a warm dinner with traditional national dishes of Herzegovina and we drive back to Mostar.
