Via ferratas are secured climbing routes that offer mountaineers and all people who love adventures the possibility of climbing steep slopes and rocks. Via ferratas offers an alpinism experience with a high level of safety. Mostar has a warm Mediterranean climate with plenty of sunny days and has nice conditions for rock climbing throughout the year.

Several Via Ferratas have been built in the area around the city of Mostar in recent years. The Via Ferratas that we offer are located in the surroundings of the city of Mostar and from them you can enjoy spectacular views of the surrounding nature, the villages around Mostar, the Neretva river canyon and the city of Mostar. The trails are suitable for most hikers with average fitness and no previous experience required. All trails are properly made according to all safety standards. On our tours, in addition to professional guidance, you will receive interesting information from the guide about history and life, looking at the city from a bird's eye perspective.

Program

Our Via Ferrata tour begins with a short presentation about the equipment and the rules for climbing and using the equipment. After a short training, we begin climbing, where we occasionally stop, take photos and enjoy the beautiful views from above at an adjusted pace. After climbing, we descend on foot along the hiking trail to the starting point where we left the car.

In our offer around the city of Mostar, we offer Via Ferrata "Vulin Potok" – Blagaj, "Hum" – Mostar, "Ilirian Path" – Mostar and "Fortica" – Mostar.

Via Ferrata "Vulin Potok" - Blagaj

Category A-B. Total duration (climbing and returning) of the tour between 4-5 hours. In addition to climbing, this tour offers a tour of the old castle "Herceg Stjepan" from the time before the Ottomans and a visit to the famous town of Blagaj with a historical monument "Tekija" at the source of the Buna River, where local restaurants offer very tasty brown trout.

Via Ferrata "Hum" – Mostar

Category A,B,C. Total tour duration (climbing and returning) between 3-4 hours. This tour passes along the high cliffs of the Hum hill above the city of Mostar and offers a beautiful view from above of the Old Bridge, the Neretva river canyon and the city. After the climb, the return is also interesting and follows the old path from the Austro-Hungarian period with views of the city and the valley from multiple angles.

Via Ferrata "Illyrian Path" – Mostar

Category A. Total tour duration (climbing and returning) between 3-4 hours. This tour passes through the dry Podružje canyon on the slopes of the Planinica hill. This is technically the easiest via ferrata in our offer. When climbing from the trail, beautiful views of the Neretva river canyon and villages north of the city of Mostar are offered.

Via Ferrata "Fortica" – Mostar

Category A,B,C. Total tour duration between 2-3 hours. This tour passes along the Stolac cliff east of the city of Mostar. The trail offers a beautiful view of the city. On the way back from the tour, we will visit a nice restaurant and a lookout point above the city where the Sky Walk Mostar is located with a beautiful view of Mostar and a large part of the Neretva river canyon.

In the mountains of Bosnia and Herzegovina, there is another Via Ferrata a few hours' drive from Mostar that we can organize and climb according to your wishes.
